DIRECTIONS FOR USING HENRY'S PROFESSIONAL CARPET &
UPHOLSTERY CLEANER
- Simply measure the suggested amount of the cleaner concentrate into
the applicator bottle and fill with water.
- Spray the area to be cleaned.
- Immediately use a brush or cloth on the affected area.
- Blot-dry or vacuum the cleaned surface.
REMOVING STAINS
Henry's Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner's unique cleaning
action removes problem stains in "layers". For example, a small spill
that remains on the surface of the fabric to be cleaned can be considered
one layer. When the cleaner comes into contact with the stained area, its
powerful but gentle action breaks down the stain continuously until it is
easily removed with a towel or vacuum.
Stains, liquids or solids that have penetrated fabrics and have
developed a thick, solid consistency (such as gum, tar, wax, etc.) must be
removed in "layers" so additional agitation with a brush, dull scraper or
sharp object may be required.
USING WET VACUUM EXTRACTION OR CARPET CLEANING MACHINES
FOR LARGE AREAS:
Containment of the area to be cleaned is very important in
order to keep the problem from spreading to surrounding areas.
Once the problem area is cleaned, spray a light mist of Henry's
Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner over the surrounding area. Use
a towel or vacuum to remove the debris. In most cases this process will
eliminate the "clean spot" effect. If the "clean spot" still exists, then
it may be necessary to clean the entire area.
If the stain reappears (called "wicking") then all of the layers have not
been completely removed. Simply repeat the cleaning process until all
embedded or absorbed material has been removed.
HENRY'S PROFESSIONAL STAIN REMOVER GUIDE:
The following recommendation for removing liquids and/or
solids from carpet or upholstery with Henry's Professional Carpet and
Upholstery Cleaner will help insure a satisfactory result:
-
Immediately after soiling an area, try to absorb any
liquids (or scoop solids) by blotting the area with a cloth towel or
strong paper towel. DO NOT RUB.
-
Apply Henry's Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
to the stained area. Blot with a clean white cloth. Press down firmly
to make sure most of the moisture is removed. DO NOT RUB. Repeat this
step until there is no evidence of the stain on the cloth or towel.
-
If the stain is still on the carpet, then repeat the
above process.
-
After all of the moisture has been removed, vacuum or
brush the carpet pile to restore carpet texture.
To solve stain problems, all you need is Henry's
Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, a clean white cloth or towel
and a vacuum!

white glue, and MUCH MORE!

as possible.

to the site and roll it gently between your fingers until solids break
away.
-
Blot with the clean white cloth or paper towel. Press

Repeat this step until there is no evidence of the stain on the cloth or
towel.
-
After all of the moisture has been removed, vacuum or
brush the pile to restore the carpets texture.
ESTIMATING THE SIZE OF REMOVING STAINS
Small Areas - (stains less than one foot in diameter with contamination
located on the surface are considered one layer problems):
-
Begin by vacuuming or towel drying the area to remove as
much material as possible.
-
Apply Henry's Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
sparingly, using a light mist on the effected area.
-
If necessary, agitate the area with a natural bristle
brush, towel or vacuum.
-
Repeat the above steps until a satisfactory result is
achieved.
Traffic lines and lightly soiled areas around furniture
and doorways may be cleaned by spraying a light mist of Henry's
Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner on the effected area and then
vacuum immediately with the vacuum beater bar brush engaged.
Medium Areas - (stains that have penetrated the surface or
may be solid or thick such as heavy spills, gum, tar, grease, oil or
adhesives): These problems should be considered multi-layered and can be
removed by breaking away one layer at time.
-
Remove all excess materials from the effected area by
toweling, scraping or vacuuming as necessary.
-
Apply Henry's Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
to the problem area being careful not to spread the soiled spot.
-
Agitate as necessary with a towel, brush or scraping
implement. Scrape gently in one direction at a time, being careful not
to distort the fabric.
-
Remove the problem layer by layer until a satisfactory
result is achieved.
-
Spray lightly around the newly cleaned area then towel
or vacuum dry the area to remove any "clean spot" effect. If the "clean
spot" continues to be obvious, repeat the process with a light mist to a
larger surrounding area.
Large Areas - (cleaning entire rooms, offices, corridors
that contain light or heavy stains and soiled areas):
-
Remove heavy spots, stains and problem areas by
following the recommendations for cleaning medium areas.
-
Follow by pre-spraying the entire surface area with a
medium mist of Henry's Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner that
is sufficient to contact all of the soiled areas.
-
Use the spray applicator bottle provided or use a
carpet-cleaning machine filled only with hot water. (Models with
brushes may also be used).
-
Repeat the above procedures if necessary until a desired
result is achieved.
